SeaComm has once again partnered with the FHLBNY of offer three opportunities for first-time home buyers. The 2025 Homebuyer Dream Program® (HDP®), Homebuyer Dream Program® Plus (HDP® Plus), and the new Homebuyer Dream Program® Wealth Builder (HDP® Wealth Builder) rounds will open on February 10.
The Homebuyer Dream Program® provides grant funds, up to $30,000, can be used towards the down payment for first-time homebuyers earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) who are purchasing homes in our chartered areas in NY and VT.
The Homebuyer Dream Program Plus® will further our efforts to increase access to homeownership for households purchasing within our charted areas in NY. The grant funds, up to $30,000, can be used towards the down payment for first-time homebuyers earning greater than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
The Homebuyer Dream Program Wealth Builder®, a new Special Purpose Credit Program (SPCP) designed to address the wealth gap by providing grants to individuals and families who have historically experienced challenges accessing the credit or housing markets and are looking to purchase an eligible property type within our chartered areas of NY. The grant funds, up to $30,000, can be used towards the down payment for first-time homebuyers in NY.
